Book Review: Seducing Cinderella by Gina L. Maxwell

Lucie Miller is trying to catch the eye of a doctor she has been crushing on for years. Problem is he doesn't seem to know the disorganized, bookish woman exists.

When mixed martial arts fighter Reid Andrews arrives, he's got problems of his own. Injured months before a rematch to reclaim his light heavyweight champ title, his trainer has sent him to recuperate under a professional's care. What Reid doesn't expect is to be working with his best friend's little sister, who's all grown up.

Reid makes Lucie a deal: she'll help him get ready for the big fight in exchange for him giving her lessons on how to seduce her doctor friend. What Reid doesn't expect is to be fighting to win Lucie's heart before she gives it to someone else.

This is a sexy, funny story. Predictable in some ways, unique in others, I didn't want to put it down once I started. Seducing Cinderella  by Gina L. Maxwell is filled with sensual moments and humor as the reader watches Reid's feelings for Lucie unfold. I love how Maxwell developed both characters in this story. Reid isn't your typical bad guy fighter and Lucie is not a stunning bombshell beauty. Instead, you have a guy who fights for a living, but also loves to sculpt. He appreciates a woman's body as if it is a piece of art. Counter that with a woman who feels less than average because she's not comfortable in her own body, and you've got a great recipe for seduction.

Seducing Cinderella is a book I will gladly read again.
